Samson Tiara
Founded in 1994, Samson Tiara has been at the forefront of safety and survival training in Indonesia for 30 years. We specialise in providing a range of client-focused safety training services and products to the offshore oil and gas, maritime, underwater, construction, mining, aviation, and general hazardous industries.
Our journey began in early 1994 with the construction of the Helicopter Ditching training facility at Santa Fe Base, Merak, Banten. The facility was completed in June and commissioned in July 1994. Training of local staff began during this period, and the first classes were held in August 1994.
In April 2004, Samson Tiara received official OPITO Accreditation for a variety of courses. OPITO training is internationally accepted and competence-based (competent/not yet competent), with extensive hands-on practical exercises.
In July 2006, we began construction of a new facility on a one-hectare site at the Krakatau Industrial Estate Cilegon. The new site opened for training in November 2006.
Samson Tiara is associated with several international training centers, including Survival Systems Ltd. (Canada), Wild Geese (Malaysia & United Kingdom), Mintra (United Kingdom), MSTS (Malaysia), RelyOn Nutec (Denmark, United Kingdom & USA), CAVU International (USA), and TEEX (Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service) Disaster City (Texas, USA). These associations allow us to access the most qualified instructors for safety training courses.
Our local instructors are engaged in continuous staff development programs, including company-sponsored trips abroad to visit training centers in countries such as Canada, the UK, the Netherlands, Malaysia, and Australia. All instructors have trained locally and internationally, hold “Rescue Diver” certification from the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), possess internationally recognized assessors certificates (A1/V1 Unit), and can deliver training in English, Bahasa Indonesia, or both.

Cilegon Training Centre
Our award winning flagship training centre in Cilegon is one of the most well equipped in South East Asia.

Location
Additional Information
An experienced medic is always present at all training sessions and facilities to ensure the safety of participants. Full medical services are available at the Krakatau Medika Hospital for Cilegon and Anyer.
For participants training in Cilegon, accommodation is available at the Royale Krakatau Hotel, which overlooks the Cilegon Golf Course, or at the Frobis Hotel and Amaris Hotel, all within a 5-minute drive from the centre.
Trainees attending the Offshore Lifeboat Coxswain, Sea Survival at Sea, and FRC courses can stay at the Villa Marina Hotel or the Aston Hotel in Anyer, located on the shores of the Sunda Straits.
We have special agreements with these hotels to offer discounted accommodation for our students.
Accreditations, Associations, & Partnerships
OPITO
In 2004 Samson Tiara became the first training provider in Indonesia to achieve international recognition and certification by obtaining OPITO approval. Samson Tiara works closely with OPITO to ensure the safety, quality and maintenance of all aspects of their training programs and is audited annually by OPITO to ensure compliance. Samson Tiara is also an active member of the OPITO Asia Pacific Training Providers Advisory Group (TPAG) which meets twice per year to discuss issues and recommendations for OPITO training standards.

Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX)
Samson Tiara has a Cooperative Learning Center Agreement with Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. TEEX, arguably one of the best-known emergency response training providers in the world, is home to some of the world’s top training facilities at the Emergency Services Training Institute (ESTI) in Texas, USA. These include the Brayton Fire Training Field, Disaster City® and the Emergency Operations Training Center, in College Station, Texas, as well as the Center for Marine Training and Safety in Galveston, Texas.

Aberdeen Drilling International
Samson Tiara and Aberdeen Drilling International are partnered to deliver a variety of IADC, IWCF and other technical drilling courses in Indonesia.

RelyOn Nutec
In 2010, Falck acquired a minority shareholding in Samson Tiara. This strategic partnership will facilitate the transfer of technology between Falck Nutec and P.T. Samson Tiara and pave the way for a wide range of internationally accredited safety and emergency response training to be offered in Indonesia.
From 2019 this partnership continues with RelyOn Nutec after change in ownership and branding for Falck Safety Services.
Wild Geese Group
Samson Tiara and Wild Geese Group work together to deliver the following OPITO approved courses:

- OIM Controlling Emergencies (OIMCE)
- Plant Manager / Incident Commander (PMIC-IR)
BP3IP
Samson Tiara has a strategic cooperation agreement with BP3IP, a distinguished maritime education and training institution under the Indonesian Government. This agreement enables Samson Tiara to offer a range of STCW courses to the offshore oil & gas industry.

Halo Robotics
Samson Tiara works together with Halo Robotics for the delivery of Drone Operator training in Indonesia. Through this partnership Halo Robotics and Samson Tiara are working on training, operational and safety standards for Drone Operators in Indonesia.
Mintra
Samson Tiara is approved by Mintra (Formerly Atlas Knowledge) to provide the OPITO International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) online eLearning program in Indonesia. Many other eLearning courses developed by Mintra are planned for roll out in Indonesia by Samson Tiara.
IASST
Samson Tiara is the Indonesian IASST (International Association of Safety Survival Training) representative.
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Directorate General of Oil & Gas (MIGAS)
Samson Tiara is approved by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Directorate General of Oil & Gas (MIGAS) and has an agreement in place with Pusdiklat Migas Cepu (the government approved education and training center on Oil & Gas), to conduct the MIGAS approved K3 Migas training program (HSE Specialist in the Oil & Gas Industry).

Survival Systems Limited
Samson Tiara and Survival Systems Asia use Survival Systems Limited (Canada) to upgrade the METS™ training courseware and for re-certification of local staff for Helicopter Ditching (HUET) and Sea Survival courses every 2 years.
The Modular Egress Training Simulator is inspected, repaired and re-certified by the Canadian manufacturer at this time.
Krakatau Medika Hospital
Samson Tiara has a formal agreement with the Krakatau Medika Hospital to provide ambulance and medical services for students and staff in case of any emergency during training in the Cilegon and Anyer training facilities.
Royale Krakatau Hotel
Samson Tiara has a formal agreement with the Royal Krakatau hotel to provide lunch for all training participants in Cilegon as well providing a special rate for accomodation for students.
