Open Letter to Clients Regarding COVID-19

As a valued client of PT. Samson Tiara, I would like you to hear directly from me on the developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and the precautions and plans we have in place for our training facility.

The safety and wellbeing of our Students and Staff, continues as always to be our No. 1 priority.

The number of people testing positive to COVID-19 is increasing rapidly around the globe. Thankfully, to date, we have had no Participants nor Staff Members at PT. Samson Tiara test positive for the virus.

Ongoing vigilance around personal hygiene and cleaning standards remain key to containment.

Therefore, given the World Health Organization’s pandemic announcement, it is timely to outline the precautionary measures we are taking to best deliver an environment that you can visit or send your staff and feel comfortable.

We have significantly increased the frequency and detail of our already best practice cleaning procedures.

This involves an even sharper focus on sanitization of bathrooms, touch points around the properties from door handles and hand rails to classrooms and common areas.

We have a senior management group meeting regularly on this issue and they are involved in detailed planning to minimize risks.

PT. Samson Tiara is also following all the updates from the Indonesian Government, World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control. We will implement new recommendations as soon as practical after they are made.

PT. Samson Tiara continues to have visible reminders for all Participants and Team Members to regularly wash hands with soap and water or hand sanitizer, and request people to avoid touching their faces. We have moved seating to seat students at least a meter apart.

PT Samson Tiara also has a very complete portfolio of e-Learning Courses that allow your people to train at home or your office and we have Digital Delivery BOSIET (OPITO) that allows all theory training to be done online and requires only a day trip to our facilities to complete the course. If any of these fit with your needs, please contact our sales staff for more information.

As I mentioned earlier, our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our Clients and our Staff as they continue to strive to deliver world class training when you train with our facility.

Lithium-Ion Battery Safety

Rechargeable lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries have become an integral part of modern life, powering a wide range of devices from mobile phones and smartwatches to electric cars and scooters. While these batteries offer high energy density and portability, it is essential to understand their potential dangers and adopt best practices to ensure safety during use, charging, and storage. Due to the widespread use of lithium-ion-powered devices, the risk associated with these batteries extends to virtually everyone. Projections from the Australian Government Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC, 2023) suggest that by 2026, the average household will be equipped with approximately 33 devices powered by lithium-ion batteries. While lithium-ion battery fires are often deemed “rare,” it is essential to recognize that their incidence becomes notably less rare in areas with higher population densities. This is due to the sheer quantity of devices per household, underlining the importance of understanding and addressing the potential risks associated with these widely adopted batteries.
